Yes. The Free plan is free forever and includes unlimited invoices and quotes, e-invoices (XRechnung), income and expense tracking, and VAT and EÜR overviews. See the pricing page.

Yes – you can try every feature for 14 days. Afterwards you decide whether to stay on Free or choose Start or Plus.

No. Chingvoice is invoicing and bookkeeping software, not a bank. We don't offer accounts or cards. You can import bank transactions via CSV; a direct online banking connection is coming soon.

Yes. Both the interface and your invoices are available in German and English – handy if you work with international clients.

Chingvoice runs in the browser and is optimised for phone, tablet and desktop. You don't need a separate app from an app store.

Yes, on every plan. You create e-invoices in XRechnung 3.0 format according to the European standard EN 16931; from the Start plan also as ZUGFeRD PDF. Read more about the mandate under E-invoicing.

Chingvoice asks for the details required by § 14 of the German VAT Act – such as tax number or VAT ID, sequential invoice number, date of supply and VAT breakdown – and flags missing information. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the content.

Yes. As a small business you issue invoices without VAT and with the appropriate note. Reverse charge, multiple VAT rates, credit notes and cancellation invoices are supported too.

You can edit drafts at any time. Finalised invoices are immutable, which keeps your records traceable. Corrections are made via a cancellation invoice or credit note.

Yes. You can upgrade at any time. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

No, all prices are net, plus statutory VAT. Paying yearly saves you money compared with monthly billing.

Yes. Free includes 1 company, Start up to 3 and Plus up to 10 – each with its own number range, design and reports.

Payments for Start and Plus are processed securely by our payment provider Stripe. You'll see the available payment methods at checkout. You receive an invoice for every payment.

Chingvoice prepares your figures: cash-basis profit statement (EÜR), figures for your advance VAT return and, from Start, a DATEV export for your tax advisor. Filing with the tax office is done via ELSTER or your tax advisor. More under Accounting & tax. Chingvoice does not replace tax advice.

From Start you can export a tax advisor package with DATEV data and receipts. On Plus you can also invite your advisor as a user (up to 5 users).

Upload receipts as PDF or photo and assign a category and VAT rate. On Plus, the smart receipt scanner reads amount, date and vendor automatically using OCR.

Your data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). See our privacy policy for details.

Yes. You can export invoices as PDF/XML and your data as CSV – your data belongs to you. See the help centre for a guide.
